Skin is not a square canvas.

NICO REYES · BLACKWORK / EAST VANCOUVER

I draw for movement, healing, and the person who has to live with the work—not for the five seconds after the needle stops.

Nico preparing a private tattoo station beside a sunlit worktable

The drawing is only half the work.

A strong tattoo belongs to a specific body. Scale follows the muscle; open space leaves room for age; line weight anticipates healing. References begin the conversation, but tracing someone else’s tattoo ends it. Every custom project is redrawn for its placement, tested at full size, and adjusted with you before the stencil becomes permanent.

01 / FRESH IS A MOMENT. HEALED IS THE RESULT. The comparison below is the same piece, photographed six months apart without retouching.

The appointment is one part of the process.

  1. BEFORE

Send the shape of the idea.

Placement, scale, subject, and references for atmosphere are more useful than a finished design to copy.

  2. AFTER

    Let the work become quiet.

You leave with written aftercare, a direct line for healing questions, and a complimentary settled-work check.

Four drawings. Four people.

If the work fits, begin with the idea.
